A well earned, save-my-creative-soul trip to New York proved to be just the ticket. Two days before my scheduled flight, a Callback for a theatre project came in, I read the details, and thought what a great play/role, re-read my submission notes and thought, yes, I'll change my flight for THIS. So I did. Two days earlier than planned, (thank you @TaraBopp), I headed to the Big Apple for my first NY audition EVER. I arrived Sunday, auditioned Monday, Booked it Tuesday (I didn't find out till Wednesday due to time zone delays).
So, I am excited to announce that my next project is ...Gidion's Knot, by Johnna Adams. A powerful, emotional roller-coaster of a play. Full details, and booking info can be found in the link below. It is an honor to play the role of Corryn for Ripple Effect Artists (REA), under the direction of David E. Shane. https://bfany.org/theatre-row/shows/gidions-knot/ 2021...And we are back...during Covid-19, we safely shot this sweet, short - HOOKED. Love over 40.... Wow - I had the best time with the most amazing actors in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, Patti Lu Pone, Holland Taylor, Joe Mantello, Sam Weaving and David Corenswet to name but a few...all were absolutely gracious, kind and very welcoming - not to mention super talented. I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to watch these pros at work, and to act opposite them, it was one of the best experiences of my time in Hollywood. And what really felt good was to know that I was holding my own and felt like one of the team. LOVED it. Thank you all, especially Bright/Daniels Casting for bringing me in and to Ryan Murphy for having me on board!
So excited to announce new members of my team - RPM talent, the fabulous Jennifer Sims and her amazing team. And....New Commercial rep too, with the incredible BBR Talent - I have been so lucky to have booked 3 great projects with BBR and look forward to booking at least as many with RPM. As we move closer towards the second half of 2018, I feel a wonderful, positive shift towards great things. Thank you to all those who have faith in me and believe that together we can fulfill our most passionate and heartfelt dreams!!! Love to you all. xx
I was so happy to see this interview was still available on-line. If you missed it the first time around...here it is... http://standardissuemagazine.com/arts/tipping-the-velvet/?utm_content=bufferdc505&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer Well it's coming to the end of March Madness..there have been many ups - lots of auditions, and some downs - not booking the jobs....and some wonderfully exciting moments...like almost bumping into the talented and very beautiful Jessica Chastain at the Arclight on Sunset - she was absolutely glowing with STAR quality... and working on a high profile commercial that is HUSH HUSH for the moment but I will reveal all as soon as I can.
2017 is looking promising so far with some interesting projects in the pipeline, including writing my very first screenplay - yay!!!! So excited to be joining Mavrick Artists Agency and being repped by the wonderful Samantha Daniels.
Booked a role in a feature with Tom Hanks and Emma Watson. Yeah!!!
Photo by Theresa Picciallo A huge thank you to the lovely, talented Theresa Picciallo for taking my new head-shot as part of a project she is working on. It allowed me to up-date my pics, see myself as I am today - 2015, eight years on from arriving in LA and has given me a really honest, open and beautifully composed shot. I have added them to my on-line sites and profiles and believe they will generate some positive interest and feedback. This one is a more commercial/comedic look and the other: Is a more theatrical look. They are both great pics and I am very, very happy with them.
The second half of the year is almost upon us. I am gearing up to putting on a show at the Hollywood Fringe 2016 (HFF2016), having been inspired by HFF2015, the standard has been amazing, and there is a possibility of another theatre project before that. In the meantime, I am out auditioning...and working. And grateful for all the opportunities I've been given. Here's to a wonderful second half of 2015. |
